Lifes’ Grand Confusion

Lifes' Grand Confusion
A great melancholy settles over me even now.
Now I’ve begun to steer my own true course,
Through the dark paths of fate,
I’m in control,
I feel strong, but strangely weak,
because I am losing her,
to a courageous decision,
losing something precious to gain something greater.
Are the right decisions always the hardest?
Will every triumph in life make me so elated,
so downhearted?
Where is all the good news?
